4.28.08 The Killdares set to play w/ GIN BLOSSOMS and The BLACK CROWES!

Follow the band to Mayfest this weekend, where we play one of the biggest fests in the entire Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Located on the banks of the Trinity River, Trinity Park will be transformed into an amazing festival grounds with activities for families and music for all. We'll be playing the main stage on Saturday with other amazing bands like Doug Burr, 100 Damned Guns, The Drams, Ian Moore, and THE GIN BLOSSOMS! We go on at 5:00, so get there for us, and stick around for The Gin Blossoms later that night.

We rocked this fest last year, and we can't wait to do it again this year!

We had so much fun last year, we have been invited back again this year. We are pleased to be sharing the stage with the likes of South Austin Jug Band, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights and The BLACK CROWES! The Killdares will be rockin' the Bud Light Main Stage at 6:00PM on Saturday night.

This is just early enough to bring out the kids, and just late enough to get a great night started of good food, good music...and end it all up with a show by the amazing Black Crowes, who will take the stage later that night.

3.5.08 ST. PATRICK'S WEEK 2008 - 5 Chances To Get Lucky!

St. Patrick's Day never ceases to amaze all of us here at Killdares headquarters. Every year, the holiday seeks to outdo itself...with one-day celebrations turning into weekend-long throw-downs. And this year is no exception. Good for the band...and great for all you KD fans! With all this green season hootenanny happening around, you'll be able to catch The Killdares in action as we perform 5 times in 4 days beginning March 14th.

Get yer "Irish" up extra early this year for St. Paddy's Day on Friday March 14th as The Killdares make their third radio appearance on the "Bo & Jim" morning show. No need to set your alarm...just tune into Lonestar 92.5FM KZPS...and the bagpipe banter will wake you up just fine. This is the first time the band will appear on the show since the station's format changeover. Should be awesome as usual. Tune in for a live in-studio acoustic performance from the band. Showtime and interview around 8:00am.

From there, follow the band a little further north that evening for a headline appearance at Lochrann's Irish Pub outdoor tent party. Located in Frisco, TX (across from Pizza Hut Park), Lochrann's is DFW's newest Irish pub. A great warm-up night for the rest of the weekend. Showtime: 8:00 - 10:00pm.

Saturday, March 15th join us at our Ft. Worth, TX stomping grounds, Central Market. This is the annual St. Paddy's Day bash sponsored by the Forth Worth Weekly...and the KDs have been asked to headline. This is an awesome all ages venue. So bring the whole family! Showtime: 7:00pm

Don't even think we're done yet! With 2 shows under your belt...Make sure you follow us down to Austin, TX on Sunday March 16th for the final day of South By Southwest, and a featured St. "Practice" Day concert at Fado Irish Pub. This has become the band's home away from home over the last year, and it's a great place to see us up close and personal. Showtime: 9:00pm

Then it's back home to the Big D (and we do mean Dallas!) for St. Paddy's Day itself on Monday March 17th, as the band performs for the THIRD year in a row at the Idle Rich Irish Pub. This is an awesome street party, and is by far the most fun you can have on St. Patrick's Day. Trust us! Come on out...start practicing your best Irish jig...and listen closely...because we will be playing selected songs from our new album, slated for release this spring/summer. Showtime: 7:00pm. Friday February 15th The Killdares will join forces with another powerhouse band at one of Dallas' premier music venues. 1.10.08  Band Begins Recording with Grammy Caliber Production Team for New Album!

As the New Year kicks off to a great start, The Killdares are proud to announce that the band's new album will be produced by world-class producer Ronan Chris Murphy. Currently living in Marina del Ray, CA...Ronan has worked with the likes of King Crimson (several albums), Steve Morse (Dixie Dreggs, Deep Purple), Terry Bozzio (Zappa, Missing Persons), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, Pink Floyd), Martin Sexton...as well as various projects featuring members of Tool, Ministry, Weezer Dishwalla, and Yes. This will be the 2nd time that the band has teamed up with Ronan, who also holds production credits on The Killdares' 4th release Any Given Element.

The band will also be bringing on the skills of engineer Chris Bell, who has earned multiple-platinum albums and Grammy® Award nominations through his work with Erykah Badu and Kirk Franklin. This is the 2nd time The Killdares and have joined forces with Chris, who is also known for his work with many other prominent rock acts such as U2, Buddy Miles, Polyphonic Spree and most recently The Eagles.

The band is honored and excited to have such a great team. And beginning January 23rd, The Killdares will enter Bass Propulsion Labs (Dallas, TX) to complete final tracking for their 5th full length album...set for release in Spring/Summer this year!
12.19.07 A Very Celtic Christmas Begins This Weekend

The band is very pleased to have been invited back to headline the 5th Street Coffee House series in downtown Ft. Worth, TX this Saturday, December 22nd. Don't let the name fool you. This unique full-size concert hall plays host to well-known artists throughout the year, and on Saturday they will be presenting their annual Holiday Winter Solstice Concert with featured act...The Killdares. The whole event kicks off at 4:00pm with drum circles, feasting, Celtic traditions, and much more. The band will be performing with singer-songwriter Peter Mayer, who will go on at 7:00PM. 10.11.07 Killdares Return to the State Fair of Texas!

The Killdares are happy to announce that they will be returning to perform at the nation's largest fair THIS SATURDAY October 13th. After a 2-year hiatus, the band will be making a special headlining appearance on the Toyota Truck Stage at 3:00pm...for one show only! Starting in 1999, and continuing until 2005, The Killdares cut their teeth for 7 years at the world famous fair...and quickly became an institution there. Don't miss this rare concert! 4.27.07 KILLDARES set to play w/ BLUES TRAVELER, LOS LONELY BOYS, BLACK TIE DYNASTY and More!

Join The Killdares THIS SATURDAY May 5th at 4:30pm, as they help headline the main stage at Ft. Worth's 35th annual MAYFEST! The event lasts all weekend, and they're going to be rocking the same stage with many great Texas-based bands including the ultra-hip Black Tie Dynasty, the 90s hit-makers Deep Blue Something, country-rockers 1100 Springs, and the always entertaining Brave Combo. Start your Cinco de Mayo celebration early!

Then make your way to Addison, TX on Sunday May 13th at 3:30pm, as they play the main stage at the huge TASTE ADDISON Festival. This national food festival is awesome...and The Killdares are proud to be one of only 2 local bands selected to perform for the event. It starts on Friday night with some great bands like Los Lonely Boys and Blues Traveler, followed by Daughtry (of American Idol fame) and Lifehouse on Saturday, and then Slaid Cleaves and The Killdares on Sunday. This Saturday March 10th The Killdares will be making their second annual appearance at the Palace Theater in Corsicana, TX. This is an ALL AGES pre-St. Paddy's event, which includes dinner before the show. So...bring the entire family!

To honor the event the band has decided to film the entire evening! Which means...WE NEED ALL OF YOU TO BE THERE! This is your chance to hoot, holler and heckle the band all night. Who knows? You might be interviewed...or wind up seeing yourself on video! Wouldn't that be cool? The Palace has a lot of character and history, and is a great place to see the band! 2.28.07 Turning Green with 60,000 people


This weekend (March 2nd - 4th), The Killdares will be performing for 3 days at BorderFest - the oldest, largest and greatest cultural heritage festival in South Texas. With an attendance of more than 60,000 people, the festival has chosen the band to perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday as one if its featured acts in this year's "Salute to Ireland." 2.6.07 The Killdares are Going National again in February


This month, The Killdares are very excited to be headlining shows in Arkansas, Georgia and Florida: The Flying Saucer, the Savannah Irish Festival and the Northeast Florida Scottish Games and Festival.

The Flying Saucer is one of the top draught house music chains in the country, and the band will be playing at the location right in the middle of the ultra-hip River Market district in downtown Little Rock.

The Savannah Irish Festival will take place in Savannah, GA and we will be headlining the main stage on Saturday, February 17 at 6:30 PM and again on Sunday, Feb 18 at 5:00 PM.

The Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival is happening in Jacksonville, FL and we will be headlining the main stage on Saturday, February 24.

10.8.06 Flying High after Flying Saucer Tour


The Killdares just spent the last 2 weeks on the road playing many of the country's other awesome Flying Saucer venues. From Little Rock to Memphis to Nashville and back home to Addison! It was truly excellent all the way around. The hospitality was great...and the fans we gained were even greater. We packed the house at every location...on every night. 8.23.06 The State Fair of Texas 2006


After 7 straight years and over 1,000 shows as a top attraction at the State Fair of Texas...THE KILLDARES will not be returning to perform at this year's 2006 State Fair. We've been told this is simply the result of the fair and the stage sponsor, Budweiser, deciding to make some changes in the entertainment program for the year.

To those who have been kindly emailing us, and waiting to see us at the Fair...we THANK YOU!!! We are truly grateful for your support. Thank you a MILLION times over!!! We'd also like to say a huge Thank you to Errol McKoy, president of the State Fair, and to all the wonderful staff who have been so kind to us over the years.

7.11.06 Proud To Help Celebrate 50 years


This past weekend The Killdares performed 8 shows over a 3-day period at one of America's grandest festivals...the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. Taking place 5,000 feet up in the hills of North Carolina, the festival proved to be an awesome time for the band. With daily shows including Friday and Saturday night featured shows on the main field as part of the Celtic Rock Jams, The Killdares played to tens of thousands of fans over the weekend...and definitely solidified their Texas name at the event. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the event, and the band could not have been more proud and honored to be part of it. What a wonderful festival all around. Great music, Great fans, Great times. The Killdares want to thank Donovan and everyone at the GMHG for inviting the band to perform. We hope to see you next year!
6.30.06 Burgers, Bock and Bagpipes?


As the summer swings into full gear, Dallas' premier Celt-rockers continue to break the musical mold of the D/FW metroplex with some great performances. Tonight the band was the featured act at Ft. Worth's Central Market "Burgers & Bock" summer concert series, and played to a crowd of 600+ fans. There is no better place in town to drop the kids off, finish the week's shopping, then grab a meal and watch the sun go down with some great music. After 2 solid sets of tunes, the band had such a wonderful response...they signed autographs for an hour straight after the show. Thanks to everyone for making this show such a sweet success. Spread the word and bring the entire family next time when The Killdares return to Central Market on Friday, August 18th!
6.17.06 Killdares Land Again at The Flying Saucer


After more than 3 years, The Killdares returned last night to Addison's own Flying Saucer...one of North Dallas' best nightsots and musical venues. For over 3 hours the band played to a full-house crowd that helped established a new level of entertainment for the venue. The kilt-clad band looked right at home with the wonderful waistaff who also wore their signature kilts. This is a great venue to see the band up close and personal. A huge beer selection and the most unique Celt-rockin' music around...what could be better on a hot Texas summer night! 5.21.06 Band Plays to Thousands at Main Street Days Festival


If you attended last night's show in Grapevine, TX at the Main Street Days Festival, you are probably still feeling the aftershock. What an excellent show! As one of the only bands that continues to get invited back to this Grapevine concert series, The Killdares took the stage around dusk for the first of 2 shows. After a great response from the first show...and as the second show began, the night simply clicked into one of those magical moments. It was a perfect ending to a perfect night with thousands cheering in sync with the band.

If there is one thing for certain: people in Grapevine sure know how to have a good time. Be sure to catch the band on their return to Grapevine in September when they help headline the Friday night concert at the 2006 Grapefest.
