KDs return to State Fair of Texas for 8th year!

After a 3-year hiatus, we are extremely excited to announce that starting this Friday Sept. 26th, the band will be returning to the great State Fair of Texas for another 24-day run (Sept. 26 - Oct. 19).
Sponsored by ROCK BAND the video game, we’re on a new stage this year with showtimes at 3, 4, 5 and 6pm…everyday!

Hey everybody. Unfortunately, due to the impending Hurricane Ike, the “All About Uptown” Festival, where The Killdares were scheduled to headline, has been canceled this weekend. We’ll keep you updated for any news on rescheduling the show. Stay dry and safe this weekend!
UPDATE: The show has been moved to THIS Saturday, Sept. 27th! Same Time, same location. The Killdares will be headlining at 9pm as originally planned!

The Killdares Headline Iowa Irish Fest 2nd Year in a Row!

Join us this Friday and Saturday for the 2nd Annual Iowa Irish Fest. Held in Waterloo, IA…the 3-day festival celebrates its second year with The Killdares once again returning to headline the main stage. A number of other cool bands will be playing before us throughout the weekend including Gaelic Storm, The Young Dubliners and Black 47. Not to mention the world famous Trinity School of Irish Dancers. KD Showtimes: 9:30pm both nights. Check our shows page for more details.

It is with great pleasure that we bring to you today the long-awaited new album Secrets of the Day. The release, which was produced by Ronan Chris Murphy, is now available on digital outlets iTunes, eMusic, Amazon digital, ZUNE, Rhapsody, Napster and many more (plus several independent outlets throughout Dallas/Ft. Worth). You can also purchase it directly from our official store.
Secrets of the Day marks a huge leap forward for the band and is loaded with new experimental textures, arrangements and structures…while retaining the sweeping melodies and soaring hooks found at the heart of The Killdares’ signature sound. Murphy describes the sound as, “…what it might sound like if the Tragically Hip and Radiohead got together and started a Celtic rock band with a bagpiper and one of the best fiddlers in the U.S.”
